Golden Globe Nominations: Snubs and Surprises

american-hustle

Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning, with some surprises and snubs. But the wide range of films nominated confirmed one thing for audiences: there is no clear front runner for Oscars, as the year has been filled with amazing films.

It was good news for “12 Years a Slave” and “American Hustle” as they each earned seven nominations. “Rush”, which didn’t perform well in box office, received a handful of nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Drama. Critic favorites “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” and “Fruitvale Station” surprisingly received no nominations, and “Saving Mr. Banks” was snubbed for Best Motion Picture.
