“Nothing turned out the way I thought I guess… And suddenly I’m 60 years old,” Robin Williams‘ states in the first trailer for ‘Boulevard.’ In the film, Williams plays a closeted gay man named Nolan Mack. After a chance encounter with a young man named Leo (Roberto Aguire), Nolan begins to come to terms with his own identity. The heartbreaking trailer ends with the character Winston, played by Bob Odenkirk, saying, “It’s never to late to finally start living the life you want.” The film, directed by Dito Montiel, also stars Kathy Baker as Joy, Nolan’s wife.
“Boulevard” debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014, but will have its wide release July 10. The film marks Williams’ last live action performance since his death last August. Williams’ final performance ever will be a voice over role in “Absolutely Anything,” starring Simon Pegg.
