Taylor Swift is no stranger to winning awards, but she was given a special honor at this year’s CMAs. The country singer received the Pinnacle Award, which has only been given to one other singer, Garth Brooks, since it’s creation in 2005. The award is given to a performer who has achieved worldwide success and recognition in country music. With Taylor’s last album, Red, reaching number one in over 50 countries, we’d say she deserves the award.
Taylor also took home two other awards: Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Highway Don’t Care” with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban.
