In a dating world fueled by Tinder the idea of finding a worthy romantic partner has been reduced to swiping right or left. So it’s no surprise that dating these days lacks that certain bit of romance, or even the slightest bit of substance or connection past generations once had. Despite our many advancements, dating is still an enigma that most people have yet to figure the magic recipe to. Especially nowadays, with more people shying away from commitment and just looking for no strings attached fun. Between the lack of commitment, and people straight up ghosting each other after seemingly perfect dates the question becomes how does a person find love or at the very least, a decent date in the 21st century? Well in the age of the cell phones one thing is clear dating apps are here to stay, which means there needs to be more to them than just swiping right or left if we want dating to go past just the hookup. Fortunately, for those of still holding out on finding a significant other BlindLove, a new app set to launch September 1st is shaking up the way people find connections on dating apps.

Like the name BlindLove is flipping the script, and actually having people get to know their matches before revealing what they actually look like. By putting a bit of mystery back into the dating app BlindLove is connecting people based on similar interests, personality traits and bringing them together with other like-minded singles based on compatibility. Although these concepts are nothing new we’ve somehow forgotten how important they when actually looking for a meaningful and dare I say it lasting relationship.

The app is designed to give users a profile that is fun, yet easy to read with a short about me section, various interests tags, and up to five entertaining questions that reveal a bit about the individual and leave people wanting to know more. BlindLove’s in-app features also include voice messages, the option to ask for date suggestions, or to ask someone on a date, view users who visited their profile and of course privacy settings ensuring everyone’s information stays confidential. If you ask me dating using a dating app is about to get a little more interesting come this September.
