John Mayer recorded an acoustic version of Beyonce‘s “XO,” from her latest album, “Beyonce.” John went back to his roots for the track, which reminds us of his “Your Body is a Wonderland” days. A little before posting the song to Soundcloud, John was announced as part of the Made in America line-up in Los Angeles on August 31.

But even before John posted the announcement (2 weeks ago, to be exact), John Instagramed the above photo with the caption, “I love you like XO.” Not so subtle hint.
