The first trailer for Anton Corbijn’s (Control, The American, A Most Wanted Man) “Life” has been released. The film stars Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-man 2, Kill Your Darlings) as James Dean and Robert Pattinson (Twilight) as “Life” magazine photographer, Dennis Stock.

Written by Luke Davies, the film follows James Dean and Stock as they strike a friendship before Dean rose to fame in 1955 starring in “East of Eden.” While on assignment to shoot Dean, Stock joins him on road trips to LA, New York, and Dean’s home state of Indiana. Stock went on to take some of the most iconic shots of Dean, including this famous rainy Times Square shot.

Unfortunately, there is currently no U.S. release date, but Life will open in France on September 9 and the UK and Ireland on September 25. Check out the trailer below:
