We are giving away two pairs of tickets for a Logitech event this Thursday in Los Angeles! This event will feature musical performances, custom cocktails and the exclusive premiere of a short video titled, “A Los Angeles Summer” created on the Logitech Bemo by the Creative Collective to pay homage to Los Angeles. Members of the Creative Collective include Los Angeles based artist Fishe, Warped Tour’s breakout band Echosmith, co-founders of the fashion-forward lifestyle brand Love + Made and famed music producer/recording artist/songwriter Roshon.

Two winners will receive two tickets to enjoy a performance by Echosmith, art by Fishe, designs by Love + Made, as well as the exclusive first look at “A Los Angeles Summer.”

Tuesday night, Echosmith threw a holiday party at Warner Brothers Records “Ski Chalet” in Burbank, California. Fans were invited to enjoy the festivities as long as they brought canned food to donate to charity.

The band kicked off with a performance of songs from their debut album, “Talking Dreams.” Songs included fan favorites, “Cool Kids,” “Come Together” and “Tell Her You Love Her.” During the show, guests sipped on some hot chocolate from Coffee Bean, and snacked on cupcakes from Baked by Melissa. The packed room was decorated with holiday cheer, which meant a huge, beautiful Christmas tree. The quartet announced a new holiday merch item- an Echosmith holiday magnet, which in case you missed the show, can be purchased here.

After the show, the band took pictures with fans, and signed some holiday posters. We got our hands on a signed poster just for you!

If I asked you to name famous musical siblings you’d probably think of Hanson or the Jonas Brothers. Echosmith is not likely to be on your radar yet, but this young alternative pop band consisting of four siblings, has a far more mature sound than any of the former groups did at their age.

The foursome (Syndey, Graham, Jamie, and Noah) just released their debut album “Talking Dreams” and they’ve gotten a ton of buzz from iTunes and YouTube. They already played at Warped Tour and the youngest member is only 14.

Echosmith sat down with HTS to discuss the release of their new album and their hopes for the future. Watch the video below.

Looking for something to do this Saturday, but are low on funds, look no further than L.A.’s own La Brea Tar Pits. The tar Pits will be host to the 11the annual TARFEST.

The event is a free music and art festival for music lovers of all ages. And, for being free, TARFEST has an impeccable lineup. Indie-rock bands Saint Motel, Nightmare Air, Echosmith, Irontom and Tapioca and the Flea are all scheduled to perform. In between the music you can also check out live artist paintings done by Greg “CRAOLA” Simkins, AXIS and William Wray. For a slightly more unique art experience you can see sculptures done by artist David O. Johnson.

Of course no festival is complete without good libations and random activities to pass the time. TARFEST will include a Lagunitas Biergarten, California Wine Bar, Gourmet Food Trucks, The Poem Store, Japanese Foundation Los Angeles tent with Calligraphy, Origami and Samurai Photos, interactive arts activities with the Petersen Automotive Museum, among other vendors and activities for the whole family.

Excavating future culture on The Miracle Mile, the TARFEST festival unites the local community in celebration of the city’s blossoming music and arts scene by showcasing some of the most talented up-and-coming bands and artists.  In past years, TARFEST has brought together thousands of Angelenos with performances from bands like Blondefire, The Steelwells, Helena, Everest among others.

You do not know what great artists you’ll be missing out on if you miss this event. The festival will go from 2-8pm on Saturday. Make sure you check it out.

Universal City Walk ended its summer concert series Monday, with performances by Echosmith and Macy’siHeartRadio Rising Star winner, The Summer Set.

It was a hot Labor Day Monday, but that did not stop the crowds from lining up early in the day. It was Universal’s final free concert of the summer and as showtime drew nearer, more and more people filled the city walk.

Newcomers, Echosmith opened the show with songs from their upcoming debut album, “Talking Dreams.” The band, made up of four siblings: Graham, Sydney, Noah, and Jamie Sierota, are almost completely unknown, but they have a stage presence that rivals the pros. The group managed to show maturity on stage that is absent in many of their musical peers, which is amazing considering they just signed with Warner Bros. Records a year ago. Their ages range from 14-20, but other than their young faces, you wouldn’t even know. Lead singer, Sydney has a voice very reminiscent of Haylee Williams from Paramore, but the band still manages to keep its distinct sound. The audience was feeding off the energy onstage and sang along to many songs, including “Cool Kids,” from theirdebut album.

The Summer Set continued the upbeat tone into their set. The band opened up with “Lightning In a Bottle” from their latest release, “Legendary.” Lead singer, Brian Dales, bounced around on stage in a bow tie throughout the entire 11 song set, never dropping anywhere under excited and happy. While front-man Brian’s energy was infectious, it’s hard to deny drummer Jess Bowen’s talent. Sitting behind four boys, Jess’s energy came through with every hit and proved that girls can drum just as well as any guy.

They performed songs from all of three of their albums, including “Someone Like You,” from their second album, “Everything’s Fine.” The Summer Set, composed of Brian, Jess Bowen on drums, John Gomez on guitar and piano, Stephen Gomez on bass, and Josh Montgomery on guitar, easily translated their album’s feel-good, high energy album into their live set. The audience sang along to every word of every single song, and one fan in particular even made a yellow umbrella sign in homage to the lyrics in the album’s title track, “I’ve spent too many nights watching ‘How I Met Your Mother’ alone. Now I’m searching for my yellow umbrella, hoping I’ll take her home.”

Fans who chose to spend their final days of summer watching The Summer Set (see what we did there) were treated to a couple of surprises. The group performed “The Way We Were” for the first time live. But before that, Brian invited his best friend, Alex Deleon of The Cab, to sing-a-long to “Young,” from their first full length album, “Love Like This,” which led to loud screams from the audience. The show felt like an energy drink buzz, in the best way possible, with every song delivering catchy hooks and choruses. The Summer Set finished off with one of their most well-known hits, “Chelsea.”
