The trailer for the next “Paranormal Activity” film was released today. “The Marked Ones” is a spin-off from the first four films. Christopher Landon, writer for three of the previous films, wrote and directed the latest installment.

The last “Paranormal Activity,” though came in at number one in box office the weekend of it’s release, was considered a disappointment after earning significantly less than its predecessor. It’s opening weekend brought in $29 million, while “Paranormal Activity 3″ made $52.6 million.

“Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones” is set to release January 3, 2014.
