Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman Star in ‘Secret in Their Eyes’ Trailer
The first trailer for Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman‘s latest film, “Secret in Their Eyes” has been released. The film, based on Eduardo Sacheri novel “La Pregunta Se Sus Ojos,” follows Jess (Roberts), an FBI investigator, as her group of colleagues unravel when it’s discovered her daughter has been murdered. In the trailer, we learn her friend and co-worker Ray (Chiwetel Ejiofor) puts in 13 years of time to find the murderer. Once he has a lead, District Attorney supervisor Claire (Kidman) warns, “We’ve had multiple leads. They’ve all been false alarms. And Jess dies a little bit every single time.”
The story was originally adapted into the 2009 Spanish language film by Juan José Campanella, “El secreto de sus ojos.” The film won the Foreign Language Oscar. With big shoes to fill, writer and director Bill Ray took on the challenge with an all star cast that also includes Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) and Michael Kelly (House of Cards).
