Greta Gerwig Cast in “How I Met Your Dad”

CBS has announced the first major casting news for the “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff- “How I Met Your Dad.” Greta Gerwig will play the lead role of Sally, a “Peter Pan” character who is trying to figure out her life as she divorces her husband of less than a year. The show, if it is picked up by CBS, will follow the same outline as “HIMYM”- events leading up to when Sally meets her soul mate.

Gerwig, who co-wrote the 2012 film “Frances Ha” will join Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as a producer and writer for the series.
