Where there’s an awards show, you can bet there’s a gifting suite somewhere nearby and special events company GBK got in on all the gifting action with this year’s MTV Movie Award Luxury Gifting Lounge.

Held at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday and Saturday, GBK honored the nominees and presenters of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards with two full days of luxurious gifts and delicious goodies.

Invited guests received top-tier goods and services ranging from fashion and beauty products, to exotic travel destinations – like a six-day stay at any Mayan Palace Resort courtesy of Millennium International Travel.

Guests also had various munchies at their disposal — to give them energy to carry the giant duffel bags full of freebies to their cars. Barry’s Gourmet Brownies had more than six different brownie flavors on hand to get VIPs through their day.  Jackson’s Honest Potato Chips offered up organic, vegan and naturally gluten free chips for the more health conscious attendees. And, of course, no gifting suite is complete without free booze – Deep Eddy Vodka, basked out of Austin, TX had the honor of banning the bar this year.

As always, GBK also featured a variety of charitable organizations including Lambda Legal (a gay rights groups), Los Angeles Youth Network, Autism Speaks, and the American Red Cross.

Celebrities in attendance included Omar Epps (House/Resurrection), Paige Turco (The 100s), Rebecca Mader (Once Upon a Time), Tiya Sircar (The Crazy Ones) and Andy Richert (Late Night with Conan O’Brien).

Overall, the event was a great way to preview the next big things in style, food, and electronics. Here are a few of the products and companies that caught our attention.

  1. Onkyo Headphones: Originally focused on home entertainment systems, the Japanese brand is now working on high end headphones. Celebrities received on ear headphones from Onkyo’s ES-CTI300 line. The company also created a free music app that allows you to personalize your listening experience through customized equalizers.
  2. Qupid Shoes: This shoe line is not only incredibly stylish, but it is also 100 percent vegan so animal lovers can rock them without any guilt. Qupid had a variety of their styles on hand for all the VIPs. The website is currently wholesale only so you’ll have to contact them via email for a list of boutiques where you can find the shoes.
  3. Pono Woodworks: This small company based out of Hawaii focuses on wood products, and not just any wood, Hawaiian Koa wood, which can only be found on the island. Pono’s founder was working as a carpenter when he decided to use his skills to make sleek jewelry and accessories. The company gifted its Surfrider watch, iPhone cases, and titanium rings.
  4. The Artisan Group: Always a favorite at GBK suites, the Artisan Group is a collective of business owners that make unique lifestyle products. They make everything from trendy jewelry to bath products to handmade stationary. Each gift bag they handed out featured creations from different artisans, so no two bags were the same. Being the dog lovers that we are, we really liked the dog accessories created by 4 Black Paws. Our dogs are fancy.
  5. Fracassi Lashes: Never wear mascara again, at least that’s what founder Falicia Fracassi promises with her eyelash extensions. The Fracassi line offers individual extensions and regular false eyelashes. What makes her lashes great is that they are made out of real human hair so they look natural while still adding volume and length. The Fracassi Lash Bar (currently only in New York) offers extensions that last up to a month. That means no mascara for a whole month.
  6. MTHEMOVEMENT: Started in 2005 by Michael Luis Asis Herrera (most commonly known as “M”),  Mthemovement is a luxury streetwear line for men and women with an emphasis on its humanitarian perspective. The collection is comprised of denims, cashmere sweaters, fashion knit tops, intimates and accessories, with an emphasis on eco friendly fabrics. For GBK, M gifted glow in the dark tees with his face printed on them (it sounds weird, but the graphic is actually really cool)
  7. SYC FUK: SYC FUK stands for Street Youth Couture From Unwanted Kids. The company creates one of a kind high end street wear with an edge. All of their products are American-made with high quality products. SYC FUK already has a celebrity clientele with endorsements from Motley Crue and Holly Madison (“The Girls Next Door”)
  8. Lollipop Bandz: Similar to the old school gel bracelets we used to rock in middle school — but twice the fun — Lollipop Bandz are customizable bracelets with a lollipop clasp. You can turn them into shoelaces or headband accessories. At less than $5, customers can choose from a variety of colors and designs including emoticons, animals and even foods.
