Box Office Numbers: “Hotel Transylvania” at #1!
Sony’s animated Hotel Transylvania, with Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez, opened at #1 this weekend, bringing in $43 million, the biggest opening since The Dark Knight Rises. Sony had more reason to celebrate with their label TriStar’s Looper (starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordin-Levitt) coming in at #2 with $21.2 million.
Rounding out the box office was End of Watch at #3, and Trouble with the Curve at #3. Pitch Perfect, starring Anna Kendrick and Anna Wilson, brought in a good $5.2 million in a limited release in only 335 theaters in 125 theaters. The wide release for the film is next weekend!
