AFI Fest Screens ‘The Last Emperor’ In 3D

Filmmakers and fans of the Oscar winning drama, “The Last Emperor,” gathered at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood Sunday Nov. 10 to celebrate the 3D release of the film.

AFI Fest attendees were invited to the North American premiere of the film’s 3D version.  “The Last Emperor,” originally released in 1987, is a biopic about Puyi, the last emperor of China.

Director Bernardo Bertolucci and other special guests appeared  on the red carpet to discuss the re-release. Several directors, writers and actors talked to HTS about meeting the famous director and their thoughts on watching the movie again.
