Last July, Ed Sheeran sold out three nights at London’s 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium. Now, he’s releasing his first concert film from the shows which will not only feature his onstage performances, but will also reveal the story of Sheeran’s journey to Wembley. “Jumpers for Goalposts” will give a glimpse into his life on tour, as well as reflections from Sheeran and those close to him.

In the trailer, Sheeran says, “This is my first headlining stadium show…When you play acoustic guitar and you open in the pub circuit your dreams don’t stretch that far.” But even with the magnitude of his success, Sheeran seems to have remained humble and down to earth. Towards the end of the trailer, Sheeran reads a passage from his journal, “Went to Brooklyn for the show. Then went for a pizza with Jay-Z and Beyoncé and they took me to a dive bar to do Jägerbombs.” He laughs as if realizing how ridiculous that is and adds, “That’s weird.”

“Jumpers for Goalposts” will debut on October 22 in a special cinema event. Select theaters will show live footage via satellite from the world premiere in London’s Leicester Square. The stream will include red carpet highlights and a live performance before showing the film in its entirety. Additional screening of the film will be in select theaters worldwide October 23-25. Local screening information is available beginning Thursday, September 24th.

In two unexpected moves, Ed Sheeran stars (rather than making a cameo) as a ballroom dancer in the music video for “Thinking Out Loud.” The song is the third single from Ed’s second album, X, following “Sing,” produced by Pharrell, and “Don’t”. X became Ed’s first number one album in the United States, selling 210,00 copies. Ed Sheeran tweeted to his nearly 11 million followers yesterday, “I’ve learned to dance” before sharing the new video.

Ed Sheeran makes a brief cameo in his latest video for “Don’t.” The video features a young male dancer, transitioning-or rather, break dancing, his way up in the world; a twist on the rags to riches story. While the song is about one of Ed’s ex, who cheated on him with a friend- while in the same hotel, the music video is much more happy. The video seems to mirror Ed’s own life (perhaps without the dancing) as he rose to stardom. Check out the video below.

Ed Sheeran’s sophomore release “X” is fast approaching (June 23rd), and he just released a new song to keep us in anticipation. Not long after premiering “Don’t” on SNL, Ed posted a video of an acoustic version of “One.” The song will be the first on the upcoming album, which was revealed via an Instagram photo early in April.
