After blessing us with the hilarious sketch comedy show “30 Rock” and the latest Netflix breakout sitcom, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” Tina Fey is at it again –because, she’s the queen of comedy.

Tina Fey, along with screenwriter Robert Carlock (“Friends,” “30 Rock”) and screenwriter/producer Jack Burditt (“The Mindy Project,” “Frasier”), are developing a pilot for an unnamed CBS comedy show.

The script, written by Burditt, follows an athlete who unexpectedly retires and somehow drives his family and friends insane. While we don’t have any details beyond that, we’re predicting this new comedy will be an Emmy contender in the future. The talented trio have worked on over 30 series and films throughout their careers. And, Fey and Carlock are already a dynamic duo in their own right. They executive produced NBC’s “30 Rock” together and were the creators of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” Burditt wrote and executive produced for both of those shows and also created the current CBS comedy, “Last Man Standing.”

One thing that did strike us as odd is that this show will live on CBS instead of NBC. For reasons unknown, CBS won the bid and will definitely reap the benefits from this new show.

Last night, the stars walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes. While there’s no doubt everyone tried their best to impress, the evening’s dresses and suits proved to be lackluster. With very few standouts, the night underwhelmed in the fashion category. That being said, some still completely missed the mark.  Rosemary’s Pick: Jennifer Lopez. Can we all just talk about how Jennifer Lopez is 45 years old and ROCKED the Zuhair Murad gown at the Golden Globes better than anyone half her age ever will? Jennifer Lopez never disappoints on the red carpet, and last night was no exception. Jennifer always manages to mix sexy and classy with ease, and the sparkling number did just that with a plunging neckline and cape. She paired the dress with large diamond earrings, a champagne colored clutch that matched the dress, and some Jimmy Choo sandals.

 Frances’ Pick: Felicity Jones. The plunging neckline was a hot commodity on this year’s Golden Globes red carpet, but Felicity Jones was not one to go with the crowd. Jones appeared on the red carpet in a custom Christian Dior couture gown with Van Cleef and Arpel vintage jewelry. It was refreshing to see something a little different. The dark turquoise gown looked stunning on her skin and the high neckline added a little bit of flair to a classic style. She reminded me of a regal queen or Audrey Hepburn… or Audrey Hepburn playing a regal queen.

Los Angeles was all glamour, Sunday night, when the stars took over the Beverly Hilton for The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. We were on the edge of our seats watching Tina Fey and Amy Poehler‘s hilarious jokes and all of the night’s big winners. Ron Burgundy is back, this time to take on New York City’s Global News Network. Burgundy and co. are back for more shenanigans, including smoking crack on live television and competing with Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) for ratings. “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues”, due out December 20, welcomes back Steve Carell as Brick Tamland, Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana, David Koechner as Champ Kind and Vince Vaughn as Wes Mantooth. The film also features appearances by Harrison Ford, Jim Carrey, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kristen Wiig, Liam Neeson, Nicole Kidman, Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler.

The Emmy’s were made to celebrate achievements in television, but let’s face it, the real reason many of watch award shows is to see what people wore on the red carpet. This year, the fashion ranged from boring to ridiculous, leaving us with some fashion highs and lows. The best this year included simple but beautiful dresses (Tina Fey, Taylor Schelling) and the worst included some ladies who tried a little too hard to push the envelope (Julianne Hough, Zosia Mamet). “Saturday Night Live” announced it’s first hosts and performers today. The show will return September 28th, with Tina Fey serving as host for her fourth time since departing as a cast member. The show’s 39th season premiere will also feature musical guest, Arcade Fire.

Following all the media coverage of Miley Cyrus’ antics from the VMAs, all eyes will be on Miley during her hosting/musical guest duties on the second episode of the season, airing October 5th. The following week, Bruce Willis will be hosting, accompanied by Katy Perry as the musical guest.

The cast for SNL remains in question, as show veterans Fred Armisen, Jason Sudekis and Bill Hader all announced season 38 was their last. Seth Meyers will also leave the show in December, as he starts his run as host on NBC’s “Late Night.”
