Ed Sheeran announced the release of a brand new song, via his Twitter. The song, titled “I See Fire,” was written and produced by Sheeran for the end credits of the next Hobbit movie, “The Desolation of Smaug.” Sheeran also played every instrument on the track, except for cello. “Managed to learn the violin for a day” the singer tweeted.

This is the first solo song Sheeran has released in two years. He revealed that the song would not be a part of his next album, but that “that fun starts next year.”
