After the leak, Warner Brothers had a change of heart and released the entire clip that was shown in Hall H on Saturday. Watch it here:

ORIGINAL STORY: July 12, 20:44

Fans in Hall H had quite the surprise in store for them on Saturday during the Warner Brothers panel. The studio brought out “Suicide Squad” director David Ayer. Although production for the film is still underway in Toronto, Ayer told the audience he wanted to stop by because “you guys run this shit! We’re making this movie for you, right here. It’s all about canon, it’s all about being faithful to the source material. You guys know who you are, and know what you want, and you’re going to get it with this show. All this good vs. evil shit is kind of played out. It’s time for bad vs. evil. It’s time for a movie about bad guys! Who’s got the best bad guys out there? DC Comics, the best villains. Now, I’m not trying to start a East Coast-West Coast feud with Marvel Comics, but someone has to say the truth.”

Ayer then proceeded to joke that he “found this on the internet,” and showed the first footage from the film, which of course, has since leaked. (You can find it easily, I promise, but we won’t post it here). The footage begins with Amanda Weller (Viola Davis), talking with a man about “the most dangerous people in the world who can do some good.” The man asks, “What makes you think you can control them?” She assures him, “Because getting people to act against their own self-interests is what I do for a living.” We then see a montage of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), and the rest of the suicide squad in action. “We’re some kind of suicide squad” we heard Deadshot say in a voice over. The best part comes towards the end with the Joker (Jared Leto) creepily saying, “I’m not going to kill you, I’m just going to hurt you, really, really bad.”

Ayer then invited the cast on stage, minus Jared Leto: Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Viola Davis, Margot Robbie and Will Smith. Before leaving, Smith told the crowd “We are banging out something that is absolutely fantastic. We’ll see y’all next year!” The film is slated for an August 5, 2016 release.

Hollywood’s biggest night is always full of glamour and a little bit of anxiety. Everyone is wondering who’s going home with an Oscar and who will win on the red carpet. While there weren’t any surprises during the show itself, we were pleased to see the stars step up their style game. Many stars hit the mark with their gowns and tuxes. Even those who made the worst dressed weren’t really that bad. On a regular night they might’ve even made best dressed, but competition was too stiff to give everyone praise. Check out the gallery below to see our picks for the best and worst dressed celebs from Oscar night.

Rosemary’s Pick: Jennifer Lawrence managed to stand out on the red carpet in a red Dior dress that fit the starlet perfectly. As the face of Dior, Jennifer has worn dresses by the fashion house frequently, but this one, with the peplum detail and the fishtail skirt, is by far my favorite. She kept the look simple with a backwards necklace, diamond earrings, a ring on each hand, and a box clutch. Her short hair was teased backwards giving the beauty an elegant and sophisticated look, with just the right amount of sexy. I also love the fact that she stumbled over an orange cone on her way to the red carpet. Could Jennifer Lawrence really be any more perfect?

Frances’ Pick: Considering all the praise Lupita Nyong’o received for her wardrobe this awards season, it’s really no surprise that she was the superstar of the night. Nyong’o dazzled in a powder blue Prada gown with crystal embellishments and a plunging neckline. Her Fred Leighton accessories were simple but beautiful — with a gold and diamond headband that complemented her cropped ‘do. She looked like Cinderella. I’m surprised she didn’t have cute talking animals following her around all night.

This weekend marks the first weekend of rain in L.A. in months (we literally couldn’t remember the last time we saw rain), but we think the real reason for all that extra traffic is the Academy Awards. It’s that time of year when all of Hollywood shuts down and even the local pet store has planned some sort of Oscar related shindig. And while, your whole life may not be consumed with figuring out who’s going to win Hollywood’s most coveted award, you also probably don’t want to sound like the last movie you watched was in black and white when the topic comes up. So, with Oscar Sunday just a couple of days away and because making bets is pretty much an American past time, we are going to tell you who you should put your money on in the office pool.

(If you haven’t seen all of the nominated movies at least take the weekend to binge watch some of the ones we mention. It’ll be really easy for those of you living in L.A. since the rain has basically rendered all of us useless for the next 48 hours.)
