content with the other treats the weekend had to offer.

There were parties, there were press events, there was the Governor’s Ball, but the most extravagant part of the weekend had to be the gifting suites.

Gift lounges are an essential part of any awards show and this year’s Emmy nominees had plenty of swag to choose from. Even with all the available choices, the popular events company, GBK productions managed to put on the most spectacular suite of them all.

The annual Emmys Luxury Gift Lounge took place at the W Hotel in Hollywood on September 21 and 22. TV personalities big and small stopped by the event to mingle with friends, grab some cocktails and most importantly, get free stuff.

But just what did these stars pick up from the lounge you ask? Take a look below to see the coolest items from the weekend.

1. All-inclusive trip for two to the Caribbean: The travel magazine Caribbean Living gave the nominees the opportunity to stay at the Hard Rock resorts out in the island tropics. If that isn’t lavish, then what is?

2. Personal training from Mansion Fitness: We all know fitness is a huge priority in Hollywood and with Mansion Fitness celebs can get in shape and be stylish at the same time. The facility for Mansion Fitness really is in a mansion. It is also extremely private, there are no memberships and all of the sessions are one-on-one.

3. Ron Donovan shoes: With prices rivaling those of Louboutin, this brand is super lush. All of the shoes are Italian-made and pretty comfortable—especially for being sky-high heels. Celebrities went home with gift certificates for a free pair of shoes and/or $300 off their first purchase.

4. Nulo Pet Products: Let’s face it, people in Hollywood are obsessed with their pets and it just isn’t right to get a bunch of free stuff without taking something home for your four-legged loved one. Attendees with pets went home with at least one bag of Nulo’s premium, all-natural dog and cat food.

5. Hot Rock Jewelry: Specializing in one-of-a-kind jewelry made of precious metals and stones, Hot Rock gave celebrities a custom gold pendant. Emmy nominees were given special “nominee” pendants. Always thinking about giving back, Hot Rock representatives were encouraging recipients to donate their necklaces to charity.

6. Eye Saw You mobile app: You may be asking yourself, what is so cool about a mobile app? After all, anyone can download this app (a social media app focusing on missed connections in case you were wondering). Well, the app came pre-loaded on to the X tablet. Yep, free tablet for everyone

7. The Artisan Group goodies: The Artisan Group is a collective of artists who make jewelry, stationery, spa and bath products, and other hand-made goodies. Attendees went home with a giant duffel bag full of one-of-a-kind gifts.

8. Miracle Hydrate skin products: Perserving the skin is a must for celebrities and miracle hydrate offered to help them maintain that youthful look. Guests received the MH3 line, which included anti-aging products infused with snake venom.

9. Beanpatch & Co. toys: Celebrities also snagged a few items for their kids (or nieces, nephews, cousins etc.). Beanpatch & Co. imports beautiful vintage style infant and children’s toys. Guests were gifted Baghera French pedal cars and Franck & Fischer plush toys.

10. Secret Agent Beauty: Everyone love’s getting free make-up, but it’s even more fun when there’s a cool 007 vibe attached to it. All of the Secret Agent products are dual purpose and come in sleek agent-like packaging. Celebrities went home with lip plumper sets and lip treatments.

Honorable mentions: Savee Laguna Beach dresses and leggings, Toy State 007 model cars, Mason Jar Cookie Company cookie mixes, Foster Grant sunglasses, Wolfhardt leather accessories, Yazi Ginger Vodka.

You can pay monthly for $x amount, or just when you want to for a slightly higher $x amount. Little Black Bag is slightly different. Yes, you can pay monthly ($59!) for a slightly lower price than if you just pay whenever you want a bag. But if you sign up monthly, you can choose to skip for the month (and pay nothing). They even send you a reminder!

BUT, that’s not even what makes Little Black Bag so great. The website offers make-up, jewelry, handbags, accessories, and home decorations. You pick your first item; anything on the site. Then, they pick 3-4 MORE (surprise) items to add to your “bag.” If you don’t like what you got, you have 7 days to trade with other people who have bags open. My open bag right now has a retail value of $150 with 4 pieces of designer jewelry. If you want to sign up, click this link (because yes, I will get a free item if you use that link instead of going straight to Little Black Bag, :D)

this weekend.

As if the Academy Awards weren’t already glamorous enough, celebrities got to spend the weekend perusing several different suites getting free swag. Even with all the choices available to celebs, GBK managed to put on the most spectacular suite of them all.

This invitation only lounge started on Friday morning and ended Saturday evening. Honored guests included the nominees, presenters, and many other well known celebrities.

Upon arriving, attendees were immediately greeted with luxury–edible luxury. Vendors in the main hallway were serving up delicious high end treats. Guests with a sweet tooth indulged in designer caramel apples by Apple Revolution. While those with a salt craving tried California Caviar’s customized xavier collection. The appetizers were then washed down with organic wines from Domodimonti Natural Wine.

Once everyone’s appetites were satisfied, people moved on to explore the extravagant and unique gifts. The Artisan Group, a collective of over 700 artists and entrepreneurs, presented guests with handmade jewelry, soaps, knitted hats, and pet toys. Fans of sparkle were treated Canadian jewelry designer, Karen McClintock‘s creative pieces. Adorned with colorful crystals, silver leaves, and antique coins, McClintock’s jewelry was the perfect mix of whimsy and classic. Celebrities with an eye for more traditional bling snagged some of Lafonn’s simulated diamond jewelry. At less than half the price of regular diamonds, Lafonn is also affordable for those of us who don’t make millions a year.

Of course no gifting suite is complete without beauty and health products. The toxin free nail company, Julep, was on hand giving guests manicures and showing off its new Oscar collection. The seven colors in the collection were all named after this year’s best actress nominees. They also featured a gold glitter polish called Oscar. Celebrities trying to find the fountain of youth gravitated towards Kiwifox’s age defying moisturizer and under eye cream. Other popular health and beauty products included thinkThin nutrition bars, TEI Spa Essentials, Green Polka Dot Box organic foods, and the Glymed Plus skin care system.

The A-list celebrities at the lounge also received a Lumeria Maui luxury retreat. The package includes yoga classes, water activities, metaphysical studies, horticulture and Hawaiian history and culture.

The weekend’s festivities also spotlighted a variety of good causes. Every year, GBK president Gavin B. Kelly invites charities and foundations to educate the public on important issues.Points With Purpose displayed a beautiful black and white pointillism drawing as a show of support to rape and sexual abuse survivors. Chick Boss designs gifted their handmade jewelry and scarves, all of which were crafted by impoverished people from Guatemala. The company’s goal is to educate and increase the economic circumstances of its workers.

Celebrities to make an appearance throughout the weekend included: Melissa McCarthy, Penelope Ann Miller, J.K. Simmons, Cheech Marin, Jon Bernthal, Cress Williams, Lauri Holden, Sugar Ray Leonard, Frankie Muniz, AnnaLynn McCord, and Holly Robinson Peete, to name a few.

The second annual Fashion’s Night Out came back to Los Angeles on Friday bigger and better than the last.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour created Fashion’s Night Out with hopes of getting people to spend more money shopping during hard economic times. There were parties in many major retailers across the world. This year’s FNO was sponsored by the city of L.A. for the first time, making it the first official FNO in the county. That meant more retailers, bigger parties, celebrities, fashion designers, models, and all sorts of other goodies to entice people through their doors.

There were shuttle buses available, taking customers from the Beverly Center to other participating streets in the area. The energy on Robertson Boulevard was a little more laid back than at the Beverly Center. There weren’t as many designers or celebrities, but it was definitely still a party.

Nearly every store on the street was offering free bubbly, snacks, and a gift with purchase. Many stores also had contests created by the designers themselves. Beach Bunny, a high-end bathing suit store, was giving out a 500 dollar shopping spree to the person with the best glamour pose. The store was offering one of the best discounts of the night, 30 percent off all 2010 styles. Just a few doors down at Anya Hindmarch, customers were posing with their favorite bag. The winner would win the bag he/she posed with.

Other stores were drawing people in with their performers and overall atmosphere. Undrest lingerie and swimwear had a French cabaret theme with dancers performing every 15 minutes. The store’s designer Maria Paz Navales was in the store to greet guests and answer questions. Shoe designer Jerome Rousseau was also in the store signing shoes for fans.

Paz Navales said she invited Rousseau because she’s a big fan of his line.

“The shoes are so comfortable you can wear them all night. I have over a hundred pairs,” Paz Navales said.

Customers who wanted to sit and hang out for a while had a great time at Odd Molly. The Swedish store had a cozy vibe that offered a little retreat for tired guests. The Champagne was poured in real glasses and people were allowed to hangout on the couch with their dogs.

Locals said they enjoyed the down to earth vibe in the store and on Robertson.

“I think it’s very festive. People seem excited to just come and dress up,” Los Angeles native Nicole Williamson said.

Her friends Gina Kim agreed with her thoughts, “I like this store for its ambiance and the set up is nice. I think we’ve spent the most time here.”

Overall, the night had something for people with all different tastes. We’re counting the days until next year’s FNO.
